PIGOT Sir Robert Pigot, 4 th Bart. DL (1801-91), was <strong>of</strong> West Hill, Weybridge. (EXH)<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Ermine three lozenges conjoined in fess Sable.<br />

Crest: A wolf's head erased Sable.<br />

PILDITCH Sir Philip Edward Pilditch, 1 st Bart., JP, <strong>of</strong> Bartropps, Weybridge, (1861-1948), was created Baronet, 1929, and was<br />

succeeded by his son Sir Philip Harold Pilditch, 2 nd Bart., <strong>of</strong> Abbotswood, Oakfield Glade, Weybridge, (1890-1949). The title is now held by the<br />

latter's 2 nd son Sir Richard Edward Pilditch, 4 th Bart., (b.1926).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Per chevron invected Sable and Or two ancient galleys in chief and in base an eagle displayed all counterchanged.<br />

Crest: A bear sejant Proper muzzled and gorged with a chain Or pendant therefrom an escutcheon Sable charged with an eagle<br />

displayed Gold.<br />

Badge: In front <strong>of</strong> two anchors in saltire Or a tower Proper.<br />

PILTER The Rev. Robert Pilter <strong>of</strong> Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire, had issue, besides, a son Thomas, father <strong>of</strong> Sir John George Pilter,<br />

OBE, <strong>of</strong> Paris, (1848-1935), a younger son Colonel William Frederick Pilter, CB, VD, JP, <strong>of</strong> The Grove, Addlestone, civil servant, (1831-1915),<br />

who was Hon. Colonel, the Tynemouth Volunteer Artillery and Chairman <strong>of</strong> Earsdon Parochial School, {Northumberland}.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Per chevron Argent and Sable two pelts (or hides) in chief <strong>of</strong> the last and a cannon mounted on its carriage in base Proper.<br />

Crest: In front <strong>of</strong> a fleur-de-lys Or a dolphin naiant Proper.<br />

Pinney <strong>of</strong> Yew Tree Cottage, South Godstone, (b.1911).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Quarterly, 1 and 4, Gules three crescents Or issuing from each a cross crosslet fitché Argent (Pinney); 2 and 3, Or an eagle<br />

displayed with two heads Vert beaked and membered Gules standing on a fasces Proper and holding in each beak a trefoil slipped <strong>of</strong> the second<br />

(Pretor).<br />
