LEE <strong>of</strong> Egham.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Azure two bars Argent over all a bend Gules.<br />

Crest: An arm embowed couped at the shoulder and vested Gules, the hand holding a sword erect entwined by a snake Argent.<br />

From the monument in Egham Church to Edmund Lee, (d.Dec 16, 1705), a benefactor <strong>of</strong> the parish. (MB ii 260)<br />

LEE Impaled with Cole in St. Peter's Church, Petersham; Elizabeth, daughter <strong>of</strong> George Cole, (d.1624), married Henry Lee, <strong>of</strong><br />

LEE Viscount Lee <strong>of</strong> Fareham. Sir Arthur Hamilton Lee, PC, GCSI, GBE, KCB, JP, FSA, 1 st and last Viscount Lee <strong>of</strong><br />

Fareham, <strong>of</strong> Bridport, Dorset and 1 st and last Baron Lee <strong>of</strong> Fareham, <strong>of</strong> Chequers, Buckinghamshire, (1868-1947), was <strong>of</strong> White Lodge,<br />

Richmond Park. In 1920 Lord and Lady Lee <strong>of</strong> Fareham presented their seat, Chequers, to the nation as the <strong>of</strong>ficial country residence for British<br />

Prime Ministers.<br />
