base, all within a bordure Argent, on the fess a mullet Sable for difference. *<br />

Crest: A goat head couped.<br />

As borne (SV1530) by Hugh Warham <strong>of</strong> Haling, 3 rd son <strong>of</strong> William Warham <strong>of</strong> Melsanger, Hampshire, and younger brother <strong>of</strong> William<br />

Rudyerd Warner, barrister-at-law, (1838-77). Advocate-General, NW Provinces <strong>of</strong> India, 1874-77, and descended from Francis Warner <strong>of</strong><br />

Framlingham, Suffolk, (d.1605). His son Captain John Rudyerd Maddox Warner, IA, <strong>of</strong> Thornwood, Twin Oaks, (b.1923).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Or a bend engrailed between six roses Gules barbed Vert.<br />

Crest: A Saracen's head affronté couped below the shoulders Proper habited chequy Or and Gules wreathed about the temples Or<br />

WARRE Captain George Francis Warre, CBE, RASC, <strong>of</strong> 17 Lonsdale Road, Barnes, formerly <strong>of</strong> Gledfield, Ross and Cromarty,<br />

(1876-1957), was eldest son <strong>of</strong> George Acheson Warre <strong>of</strong> Tyford House, Hampshire, (1842-1913).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Gules semé <strong>of</strong> cross crosslets fitché Argent a lion rampant <strong>of</strong> the last langued Azure.<br />

Crest: Out <strong>of</strong> a ducal coronet Or a griffin's head Argent. (BLG17)<br />

WARREN Sir George Warren, KB, <strong>of</strong> Poynton, Cheshire, (d.1801 aged 67), acquired Fetcham Park and Chobham Park by marriage,<br />

1758, to Jane, (d.1761), daughter and heir <strong>of</strong> Thomas Revel, agent victualler at Gibraltar, (d.1752). Their daughter and heir Elizabeth Harriet<br />

(d.1826 aged 66), married, 1777, James Bulkeley, Viscount Bulkeley <strong>of</strong> Cashel, qv. (VCHS iii 288,415; OCC iii 687).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Chequy Or and Azure on a canton Gules a lion rampant Argent.<br />

Crests: Out <strong>of</strong> a ducal coronet Or a plume <strong>of</strong> five ostrich feather Argent in front there<strong>of</strong> a griffin's claw Gold; 2, On a chapeau Gules<br />

turned up Ermine a wyvern tail nowed Argent wings expanded chequy Or and Azure.<br />

William Waldegrave Warren, (1867-1946) was Curate <strong>of</strong> Frimley in charge <strong>of</strong> the district <strong>of</strong> St. Paul, Camberley, 1932-5, and Vicar <strong>of</strong> St. Paul,<br />

Camberley, 1935; he was 7 th son <strong>of</strong> Major-General Richard Warren, RE, (1828-1913), and descended from Sir Robert Warren, 1 st Bart., (1723-<br />

1811).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Argent a fess chequy Or and Azure between three talbots passant Proper.<br />

Crest: A lion rampant holding a crozier.<br />

Warter <strong>of</strong> Southwark, (b.1835), who was grandfather <strong>of</strong> Sir Philip Allan Warter <strong>of</strong> Eastcourt Manor, Effingham, (1903-71).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Sable on a chevron engrailed between three chess rooks Argent as many cross crosslets fitché <strong>of</strong> the first.<br />

Crest: A lion rampant Sable collared Argent holding between the forepaws a chess rook <strong>of</strong> the last.<br />
