IREDELL Colonel James Shrubb Iredell, Bombay SC, <strong>of</strong> Heathcot, Croydon, (1839-1908), had a youngest son Major James Stanley<br />

Iredell, <strong>of</strong> Belton, Camberley, (b.1883), father <strong>of</strong> Herbert William Motton Iredell, <strong>of</strong> Sandstones, Camberley.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Quarterly, 1 and 4, ermine a sword bendwise between two bendlets Gules (Iredell); 2 and 3, Or a stag trippant Gules antlered<br />

Argent within a bordure <strong>of</strong> the second (Macartney).<br />

Crest: A dexter arm embowed in armour Proper garnished and charged with two estoiles in pale Or in the hand a sword Argent<br />

pommel and hilt Or.<br />

descended from John Irvine, <strong>of</strong> Flask, Ewes, Dumfriesshire, (1662-1732).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Argent three holly leaves Proper on a chief engrailed Azure a garb Or.<br />

Crest: A branch <strong>of</strong> holly <strong>of</strong> nine leaves and seven berries all Proper.<br />

7 th Bart., MA, DCL (Oxon), (1740-1818), had issue, besides a younger son Norman Murray Crawford Isham, ARIBA, B.Arch, <strong>of</strong> 5 Langton<br />

Way, Park Hill, Croydon, (b.1930), an elder son Sir Ian Vere Gyles Isham, 13 th Bart., <strong>of</strong> 40 Turnpike Link, Croydon, (b.1923), who succeeded<br />

his kinsman Sir Gyles Isham, 12 th Bart., <strong>of</strong> Lamport, Northamptonshire, (1903-76). Of the same family, the Rev. Arthur Isham, MA, <strong>of</strong> Cawood,<br />

Reigate, Rector <strong>of</strong> Weston Turvile, Buckinghamshire, (1808-92), was grandson <strong>of</strong> the above Sir Justinian Isham, 7 th Bart.<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Gules a fess wavy and in chief three piles also wavy points meeting in fess Argent.<br />

Crest: A demi swan with wings displayed Argent beaked Sable.<br />

Gardeners, (b.1845), 3 rd son <strong>of</strong> William Pearse Ivey, <strong>of</strong> Holly Bank, Knaresborough, {Yorkshire}, and <strong>of</strong> Reading, {Berkshire}, (1812-80).<br />

<strong>Arms</strong>: Per fess raguly Argent and Gules in chief two annulets and in base a lion rampant counterchanged.<br />

Crest: Within a circular chain Gules a lion rampant Argent supporting a staff raguly palewise Or.<br />
