Stevenston, 1811-43, and Free Church Minister <strong>of</strong> Saltcoats, 1844-54, "the Gilbert White <strong>of</strong> Ardrossan"; the latter was descended from Andrew<br />
McClamroch, <strong>of</strong> Stranfasket, Kells, Kirkcudbrightshire, (1657-1709), by his wife Margaret, (d.1696), daughter <strong>of</strong> Edward Gordon, <strong>of</strong> Barmark,<br />
Balmaclellan, Kirkcudbrightshire, (living 1685).<br />
