570 Karam rekh mitte nahiri, jo likhi Bidhata hath.
Likbi Rabb hath qalam ap bagai
Us se met sake kaun nahiri taqat, Bhai
Turn kah gae the ap, Ghar khali mer& '

Ik roz kia Raja ne dar par phera."

How wakefol didst thou remain after my departure
565 How wakeful didst thou remain after my departure,
Friend
Tell me all about it, speaking the truth.
Did the Raja ever come wandering about my door
I told him that my house was empty."

" I kept guard at my post, wakeful all the night.
5 70 The lines are never blotted out, which the hand of Fate
hath written.
It is God that writes (them) with his own pen.
