4. If the relations between our two Parties are viewedas a whole, the above-mentioned differences between ComradeKhrushchov and ourselves are only of a partial character. Wehold that the main thing in the relations between our twoParties is their unity in the struggle for the common cause;this is so because both our countries are socialist countriesand both our Parties are built on the principles of Marxism-Leninism, and are fighting to advance the cause of the wholesocialist camp, to oppose imperialist aggression and to winworld peace. We believe that Comrade Khrushchov and theCentral Committee of the CPSU and we ourselves will beable to find opportunities to hold calm and comradely discussionsand resolve our differences, so that the Chinese andSoviet Parties may become more united and their relationsfurther strengthened. This will be highly beneficial to thesocialist camp and to the struggle of the people of the worldagainst imperialist aggression and for world peace.5. We are glad to see that the draft Communique of theMeeting put forward here affirms the correctness of theMoscow Declaration. But the presentation of the Marxist-Leninist theses of the Moscow Declaration in this draft is inaccurateand one-sided. And it is wrong that the draft avoidstaking a clear stand on the major problems in the currentinternational situation and makes no mention at all of modernrevisionism, the main danger in the international workingclassmovement. Therefore, this draft is unacceptable to us.For the sake of unity in the common struggle against theenemy, we have submitted a revised draft and propose thatit be discussed. If it is not possible to reach agreement thistime, we propose that a special drafting committee be set upto work out, after full discussions, a document which isacceptable to all.
