Violent revolution is a universal law of proletarian revolution.To realize the transition to socialism, the proletariatmust wage armed struggle, smash the old state machine andestablish the dictatorship of the proletariat.2. The peasants are the most dependable allies of theproletariat. The proletariat must closely rely on the peasants,establish a broad united front based on the worker-peasantalliance, and insist upon proletarian leadership in the revolution.400

The proletariat must hold high the nationalbanner of opposition to U.S. imperialism and have thecourage to fight with firm resolve against the U.S. imperialistsand their lackeys in its own country.4. The revolution of the oppressed nations is an indispensableally of the proletarian revolution. The workers ofall countries must unite, and they must unite with all the oppressednations and all the forces opposed to imperialism andits lackeys to form a broad international united front.5. To make a revolution, it is essential to have a revolutionaryparty. The triumph of the proletarian revolution andthe triumph of the dictatorship of the proletariat are impossiblewithout a revolutionary proletarian party established inaccordance with the revolutionary theory and style of Marxism-Leninism, a party which is irreconcilable towards revisionismand opportunism and which takes a revolutionary attitudetowards the reactionary ruling classes and their state power.To insist on revolutionary armed struggle is of primary importancenot only to the proletarian revolution but also to thenational-democratic revolution of the oppressed nations. Thevictory of the Algerian national liberation war has set a goodexample in this respect.The whole history of the proletarian parties since the Warhas shown that those parties which have followed the line ofrevolution, adopted the correct strategy and tactics and activelyled the masses in revolutionary struggle are able to lead therevolutionary cause forward step by step to victory and growvigorously in strength. Conversely, all those parties which haveadopted a non-revolutionary opportunist line and acceptedKhrushchov’s line of “peaceful transition” are doing seriousdamage to the revolutionary cause and turning themselves intolifeless and reformist parties, or becoming completely degenerateand serving as tools of the bourgeoisie against the proletariat.There is no lack of such instances.401
