are re-publishing the complete text of the Outline of Viewson the Question of Peaceful Transition put forward by thedelegation of the CPC to the Central Committee of the CPSUon November 10, 1957, as an appendix to this article. 1In the last eight years the struggle of the Marxist-LeninistParties and of the world’s Marxist-Leninists against Khrushchov’srevisionism has made great progress. More and morepeople have come to recognize the true features of Khrushchov’srevisionism. Nevertheless, the leaders of the CPSUare still resorting to subterfuge and quibbles, and trying inevery possible way to peddle their nonsense.Therefore, it is still necessary for us to refute the fallacyof “peaceful transition”.SOPHISTRY CANNOT ALTER HISTORYThe leaders of the CPSU openly distort the works of Marxand Lenin and distort history too to cover up their betrayalof Marxism-Leninism and justify their revisionist line.They argue: Did not Marx “admit such a possibility [peacefultransition] for England and America”? 2 In fact, thisargument is taken from the renegade Kautsky who used theself-same method to distort Marx’s views and oppose theproletarian revolution and the dictatorship of the proletariat.It is true that in the 1870’s Marx said that in countries likethe United States and Britain “the workers can reach theirgoal by peaceful means”. But at the same time he stressedthat this possibility was an exception.
