Donot such allegations of yours mean the subordination of therevolutionary struggles of the peoples to your policy of peacefulcoexistence?We should further like to ask the leaders of the CPSU:Economic successes in socialist countries and the victories theyscore in economic competition with capitalist countries undoubtedlyplay an exemplary role and are an inspiration to oppressedpeoples and nations. But how can it be said that socialismwill triumph on a worldwide scale through peacefulcoexistence and peaceful competition instead of through therevolutionary struggles of the peoples?The leaders of the CPSU advertise reliance on peaceful coexistenceand peaceful competition as being enough to “delivera crushing blow to the entire system of capitalist relationships”and bring about worldwide peaceful transition tosocialism. This is equivalent to saying that the oppressedpeoples and nations have no need to wage struggles, makerevolution and overthrow the reactionary rule of imperialismand colonialism and their lackeys, and that they should justwait quietly — until the production levels and living standardsof the Soviet Union outstrip those of the most developed capitalistcountries, when the oppressed and exploited slavesthroughout the world would be able to enter communism togetherwith their oppressors and exploiters. Is this not anattempt on the part of the leaders of the CPSU to substitutewhat they call peaceful coexistence for the revolutionary strugglesof the peoples and to liquidate such struggles?An analysis of these three questions makes it clear thatour difference with the leaders of the CPSU is a major differenceof principle. In essence it boils down to this. Ourpolicy of peaceful coexistence is Leninist and is based on theprinciple of proletarian internationalism, it contributes to thecause of opposing imperialism and defending world peace andaccords with the interests of the revolutionary struggles ofthe oppressed peoples and nations the world over; whereas288
the so-called general line of peaceful coexistence pursued bythe leaders of the CPSU is anti-Leninist, it abandons the principleof proletarian internationalism, damages the cause ofopposing imperialism and defending world peace, and runscounter to the interests of the revolutionary struggles of theoppressed peoples and nations.THE CPSU LEADERS’ GENERAL LINE OF“PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE” CATERS TOU.S. IMPERIALISMThe general line of peaceful coexistence pursued by theleaders of the CPSU is firmly rejected by all Marxist-LeninistParties and revolutionary people but is warmly praised by theimperialists.The spokesmen of Western monopoly capital make no secretof their appreciation of this general line of the leaders of theCPSU. They see in Khrushchov “the West’s best friend inMoscow” 1 and say that “Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchevacts like an American politicians”. 2 They say, “Comrade Khrushchevis considered, as far as the free world is concerned, thebest Prime Minister the Russians have.
