economic policies, and aspects related to demography and culture.
This conference documentation contains a selection of presentations from all five conferences
and thus mirrors a broad range of topics. It contains articles from the following
fields: economy, growth and employment, agriculture, basic public services, infrastructure,
support concepts, concepts for integrated rural development and describes the importance
of regional strategies for rural development on the basis of concrete examples.
I wish to thank the speakers and conference participants who helped to make the
conference series a success with their presentations and contributions to the discussion
and hope that the next future forum on rural development will also meet with a positive
response.
