medical evidence does not establish entitlement. See <strong>FECA</strong> PM 2-0808.<br />

(5) Specific Medical Services or Medical Provider. The kinds <strong>of</strong> medical services which<br />

may be at issue are too numerous to list. See <strong>FECA</strong> PM 2-0810 and 3-0400 for discussions<br />

<strong>of</strong> commonly claimed treatments. The services <strong>of</strong> a particular provider may be denied if the<br />

OWCP does not approve a requested change <strong>of</strong> physician, or if the physician has been<br />

excluded from participation in the <strong>FECA</strong> program. See <strong>FECA</strong> PM 3-0800.<br />

(6) Change in Status <strong>of</strong> Dependents. Such changes may occur because a child reaches<br />

the age <strong>of</strong> 18, marries, becomes a student, ceases to be a student, becomes incapable <strong>of</strong><br />

self-support, or ceases to be incapable <strong>of</strong> self-support. For disability cases, see <strong>FECA</strong> PM<br />

2-0812.10. For death cases, see <strong>FECA</strong> PM 2-0700.8-10.<br />

(7) Attendants' Allowances. See <strong>FECA</strong> PM 2-0812.8.<br />

(8) Housing and Vehicle Modifications. See <strong>FECA</strong> PM 2-1800.<br />

(9) Lump Sums Payments <strong>of</strong> Compensation. See <strong>FECA</strong> PM 2-1300. The legal authority<br />

for disallowance is found at 20 C.F.R. 10.311.<br />

d. Suspensions. Compensation payments are suspended under certain well-defined<br />

circumstances when the claimant fails to cooperate with the OWCP's directions. Benefits<br />

are usually restored once the claimant follows the directions given. Suspensions may occur<br />

for the following reasons:<br />
