(1)Enrollees are required to report injuries in the usual manner as stated in the regulations.<br />

(2)The Job Corps should submit Forms CA-1 and CA-2 only after the enrollee has been<br />

terminated, and only when:<br />

g. Disability Claims.<br />

(a)The condition causes disability for work for more than 14 days; or<br />

(b)It is likely to result in a medical charge against the Compensation Fund after the<br />

enrollee's termination from the Job Corps; or<br />

(c)It appears likely to require prolonged treatment; or<br />

(d)It appears likely to result in future disability or permanent disability. The date <strong>of</strong><br />

termination should appear in Block 24 <strong>of</strong> the CA-1, and in Block 34 <strong>of</strong> the CA-2.<br />

(1) Compensation is not payable prior to termination <strong>of</strong> enrollment, in keeping with Section<br />

106(c)(2)(C) <strong>of</strong> P.L. 88-452.<br />

(2) The date <strong>of</strong> the enrollee's termination will be the date pay stops.<br />

(3) 5 U.S.C. 8118 does not apply to enrollees because they do not earn annual or sick<br />

leave.<br />

(4) Compensation for disability will be computed on a weekly basis. Because enrollees do<br />

not usually have a standard work week, 5 U.S.C. 8114 will not be applied. Job Corps<br />

enrollees are entitled to all applicable Consumer Price Index increases in compensation<br />

under 5 U.S.C. 8146a.<br />

(5) The three-day waiting period provided by 5 U.S.C. 8117 applies to these cases in the<br />

same manner as it applies to Federal employees.<br />

(6) Job Corps enrollees are not entitled to continuation <strong>of</strong> pay (COP) under 5 U.S.C. 8118.<br />
