manufacturer's specs. Ladder to be installed today (3/23/2010). Ladder installation delayed
because the bolts where too large for the holes. New DDI PM will be revisiting this matter
(4/20). Watts is looking into the costs associated with placing scaffolding around the tank.
Another alternative is to bring a man-lift to the site (4/27). No update. (5/4) No update. (5/11)
* WCH has three confirmatory sampling sites what will require DDI equipment support. More
information will be provided soon. WCH pushing for an April timeframe to perform this work.
A walkdown of one of the sites will be occurring today. WCH will schedule a discussion for next
week to discuss the excavation of the two or 3 sites that are included in the current contract.
Potholing to commence 5/17/2010 when DDI's new sampler has completed her training. A
meeting will be held prior to the sampling to ensure that DDI has everything on hand to support
the excavation activities for confirmatory sampling at 600-29 (4/27). On track to have sampler
training in place by 5/17/2010 (5/4). Pot holing to begin 5/18/2010. (5/11)
* Discussed issue of inaccurate scale weights. DDI has instructed Watts to install a new scale. The
scale is part of the contract between Watts and DDI. WCH asks that the work be completed no
later than the end of May with work to be completed on weekends so not to take away from
production. (5/4) No change. WCT discussed the need to coordinate long lead time for
scheduling teamster to remove from site the scale being replaced. (5/11)
* An informal meeting with WCH, DDI and ESHI will be scheduled to discuss start and stop times
in the HRA. (4/27) This schedule is to be implemented by Monday, 5/17/20 10.
* DDI is reminded that Daily Reports are to be submitted to WCH the following day. If the person
who normally completes these is out, a back up needs to be identified and trained. This continues
to be a challenge. (4/27) WCH noted that this is the DDI PM's responsibility. As this continues
to be an issue, DDI is putting themselves in a deficient position. (5/11)
* There is an issue with not having Tyvec booties for some site personnel when they are required to
enter the trenches for sampling. DDI commits to getting some on site immediately. DDI has
procured, will provide arrival date. (5/4) Tyvec booties have been received, but DDI is still
waiting on rubber overshoes. (5/11)
" DDI asked that WCH clarify the definition of anomalies. There seems to be some confusion on
DDI's part what actually constitutes an anomaly. No update. A meeting will be held to discuss
this today (5/4). DDI requested an additional meeting to discuss delays related to anomalies.
This is scheduled for 5/12/2010 at 1:00. (5/11)
* Getting rock truck back on site in order to complete safety bench in trench L is a priority. (5/4)
This is not an issue; the truck is on-site at the 1 00-K project next door and can be made available
as needed. (5/11)
