review. To be scheduled for next week. (8/24) DDI to provide a letter response. Meeting
rescheduled for Wednesday 9/1. (8/3 1) Meeting held last week, scheduling will continue as
needed. (9/7) DDI would like to schedule this to follow the 9/27 1:00 meeting. (9/22) Meeting
rescheduled for Monday at 1:00 p.m. (9/28) Delay impacts meeting scheduled for 10/6/10 at
1:00. (10/5) Delay impacts meeting to be rescheduled, time TBD. (10/12) DDI has completed
review and would like to meet again to put this issue to rest. Meeting will be scheduled as soon
as possible. (10/26) Meeting rescheduled for today at 1:00 to discuss the last couple weeks. A
meeting to discuss impacts TBD. (11/2) Delay status meeting today at 1:00. (11/9) WCH and
DDI met on 11/15/2010 and will continue these discussions. (11/16) WCH would like to have
complete agreement on delays so DDI is in a position to submit request for delays past 45 days.
The weekly meetings will resume beginning Thursday, 12/2. (11/30) Currently, delays have been
discussed through the end of November. DDI to respond to WCH letter regarding delays.
Moving forward, DDI will follow the equipment and manpower process as lined out in Exhibit B
from this date forward. (12/7) WCH is requesting that DDI provide a letter of agreement on the
45-day of scheduled delays. In return, WCH will provide to DDI a letter agreeing to a calculated
method versus TIA for delays. November 30th was the last day of the 45-day of delays. (12/14)
WCH to respond to 12/15/10 DDI delays letter, concurrent to meeting 45 days of Exhibit B
delays as of 11/30/10. This letter will include explanation of how the delay days were
determined/calculated. (12/28)
" Stainless steel acid overpack decontamination needs to be completed. (10/12) This has not yet
been done. Drums are currently contained in the anomaly staging area. (10/26) Characterization
plan development is in process. The drums are in an exclusion zone due to the contamination on
the outside of the drums. (11/2) No change. (11/9) WCH is developing a characterization plan.
(11/16) No update. (11/30) Characterization plan is with WCH Engineering for review. (12/7)
No update. (12/14) Characterization plan is at the planning for evaluation. (12/28)
" WCH asks if there is an "all-call" option available on the radios which, when triggered, makes an
announcement over all of the radio channels. The option is not the scan function that
automatically changes channels, but one that issues announcements simultaneously over all
channels. WCH requests that DDI look into this and if available check into the costs of
purchasing several for the project. (10/26) DDI is still researching options. (11/2) DDI has
received a quote for this function and will look into scheduling to have the radios programmed
over the Thanksgiving holiday. WCH to provide change notice for DDI to proceed with this.
(11/9) DDI has plans to take all the radios off site on 11/23 for reprogramming over the holiday
period. (11/16) Reprogramming of the radios has been delayed until mid-December due to the
unavailability of the vendor. (11/30) WCH has 30 radios. (12/7) Plan to reprogram radios has
been pushed to either the Christmas or New Year break in work. All radios will be
reprogrammed to receive the announcement, and three radios will have the broadcast function. A
total of sixty radios in all. DDI requests a change notice for the cost of the reprogramming.
(12/14) DDI has had all radios reprogrammed and redistributed. DDI to provide CN proposal by
COB this week. (12/28)
" WCH will follow-up on procurement of odor control materials for potential use in Trench K.
(11/16) WCH 11- suggested using a charcoal substance to mix with the soil rather than using the
proposed odor control chemical. No update past this recommendation from I1H. WCH to followup
on this. (11/30) No viable engineering controls are available. On the next available Friday,
the crew will do a thorough resort and mix of Trench K. (12/7) Re-sort successfully performed on
12/10. WCH has some work package and management requirements that need to be satisfied
before work can begin again in Trench K. (12/14) Secondary Sort of odorous materials to begin
Monday, 1/3. (12/28)
