DDI is working with WCH EPL on clarifications. WCH EPL to observe Watts's oil burning
facility on 3/18/2010. DDI will submit OMP after that date. OMP waiting on ARES revision to
drawings, then DDI will submit. Drawings should be available for pickup by DDI this week then
the OMP will be submitted. No update (4/20). DDI is working on final review of this submittal
and will submit by 5/11/2010 (4/27). On track to submit by 5/11/2010 (5/4). DDI confirmed that
the OMP will be submitted 5/12/2010. Since the OMP is not yet approved, DDI is not to remove
used oil from the site. Any questions about exceptions to this need to be discussed with the WCH
EPL. (5/11) DDI continues to work on completing the OMP with support from the WCH EPL.
DDI plans to submit the OMP next week. (5/18) Submission of OMP pushed out to 6/3/2010.
(5/25) No change. (6/1) DDI is still working on OMP submittal. (6/8) No change, DDI to
submit by 6/24/10. (6/15) DDI is on schedule to meet 6/24 submission. (6/22) WCH has
received OMP and is in review. (6/29) WCH is still reviewing. (7/6) DDI has received
submittal back with WCH comments. DDI requests to remove SPCC submitted from showing as
due since they are working to the OMP. (7/14) DDI expects to submit by 7/22. (7/20) DDI to
submit by 7/27. (7/27)
" Discussed Incidental Welding procedure. Surveillance performed, identified necessary changes
to be made for clarifications. (5/18) No update. (5/25) DDI to revise this week. (6/1) DDI to
submit by 6/10/2010. (6/8) DDI commits to submitting no later than 6/24/10. (6/15) DDI on
schedule for submission by 6/24. (6/22) WCH has received and is in review. (6/29) WCH has
returned to DDI status 2. (7/6) DDI has received back and is working through comments. (7/14)
DDI indicated they have submitted the procedure; WCH has not yet received, but will review
when received. (7/20) WCH has received, but it does not appear that changes were incorporated
into the document. (7/27)
* DDI and WCH are planning to perform confirmatory sampling on one test pit and two trenches
for 100-K-2 on the day the scale is being replaced - June 18. (6/8) This activity was rescheduled
with new date TBD. (6/22) No change. (6/29) No change. (7/6) This will be tentatively
rescheduled for Friday, July 30 pending support availability. (7/14) DDI expressed beryllium
concerns for this activity. WCH has determined this site to be beryllium free, but this is being reevaluated
by WCH IH. (7/20) A re-evaluation determined the area to be beryllium free. The
"Beryllium Free Facility" form has been signed off by WCH III. WCH will evaluate if there is
support available for working on 7/3 0. (7/27)
* DDI to develop NCR for the suspect/modified lift points on the new truck scale. (6/22) NCR has
been implemented and DDI is developing a documented path forward to address the NCR. (6/29)
No update. It is suggested by WCH QA that a reminder be put into place that a new lift plan will
need to be developed prior to the scale being removed at the end of the project. (7/14)
Discussion surrounding what plan is being put into place to ensure the scale is not removed using
the modified lifing eyes. DDI instructed to develop a reminder to ensure that the lifting eyes are
not used. (7/20) Tags will remain on lifting eyes. DDI instructed sub-tier to develop plan for
reminder that the lifting eye for the scale has been tagged out. DDI to develop lifting plan. (7/27)
* DDI to submit REA for 100-K-2 confirmatory sampling. (6/22) DDI to submit by 6/3 0. (6/29)
No change. (7/6) DDI submitted letter with questions about costs related to analysis of
confirmatory sampling activities. WCH commits to providing a response to DDI by 7/19. (7/14)
WCH will have response to DDI by 7/22. (7/20) WCH sent a letter in response - these costs are
included in Exhibit "D" of the contract. DDI will be submitting a more detailed REA in response
to this letter. (7/27)
* Discussed future start-up plans for Trench N. DDI to present plan for Trench N for WCH
concurrence before the start of intrusive activities. (6/22) No change. (7/6) DDI to schedule a
meeting Monday 7/19 with pertinent DDI and WCH personnel to discuss plan for Trench N.
