" DDI will be providing calcium chloride for the water system when it is operational. Before
Trench K is opened up, DDI to have calcium chloride on site for dust control. DDI to look into
utilizing Dust Bond in trenches K, N, 0 and 1. DDI to provide mixture ratios for WCH profile.
DDI to have calcium chloride on site before opening up Trench K excavations. No update (4/20).
DDI indicated the plan is to have a 250 gallon tote that will be used through the injection system
tied into the water system (4/27). 250 pound tote is now on site. The temporary plan of use will
be to draw from the tote into the trucks using a hand pump. This is the solution until the injection
system is installed and working properly (5/4).
* DDI evaluating a location for truck washing. This will be coordinated with the WCH EPL. This
will be set up next to the high tank. WCH EPL will be onsite this week to assist with designating
a location. WCH EPL is in review of proposed location with preference for location in the AOC
(4/27). WCH EPL has approved the truck wash down station at the water tank. Radiological
courtesy surveys will be completed on the trucks prior to wash down of undercarriage (5/4).
* WCH has three confirmatory sampling sites what will require DDI equipment support. More
information will be provided soon. WCH pushing for an April timeframe to perform this work.
A walkdown of one of the sites will be occurring today. WCH will schedule a discussion for next
week to discuss the excavation of the two or 3 sites that are included in the current contract.
Potholing to commence 5/17/2010 when DDL's new sampler has completed her training. A
meeting will be held prior to the sampling to ensure that DDI has everything on hand to support
the excavation activities for confirmatory sampling at 600-29 (4/27). On track to have sampler
training in place by 5/17/20 10 (5/4).
" Discuss implementation and oversight of equipment maintenance plan with the resignation of the
DDI mechanic. DDI working to bring on project mechanic. WCH suggests that DDI review their
equipment maintenance processes, particularly with regards to equipment daily inspections and
how repairs will be made (4/27). Daily inspections are occurring, will have an offsite mechanic
support the project as needed. DDI discussing with their subcontractor that this may have
production impacts. (5/4)
" Discussed issue of inaccurate scale weights. DDI has instructed Watts to install a new scale. The
scale is part of the contract between Watts and DDI. WCH asks that the work be completed no
later than the end of May with work to be completed on weekends so not to take away from
production. (5/4)
* An informal meeting with WCH, DDI and ESHI will be scheduled to discuss start and stop times
in the HRA. (4/27)
" DDI is reminded that Daily Reports are to be submitted to WCH the following day. If the person
who normally completes these is out, a back up needs to be identified and trained. This continues
to be a challenge. (4/27)
" There is an issue with not having Tyvec booties for some site personnel when they are required to
enter the trenches for sampling. DDI commits to getting some on site immediately. DDI has
procured, will provide arrival date. (5/4)
* DDI needs to survey signage used in the CR-Z postings. Currently some signs state "Caution"
while others on the same rope state "Danger". The correct warning level for the CRZ is
"Caution". DDI will address this. (4/27) No change (5/4).
* DDI asked that WCH clarify the definition of anomalies. There seems to be some confusion on
DDI's part what actually constitutes an anomaly. No update. A meeting will e held to discuss
