POD Summary<br />

Meeting @ 0600 hrs. Safety topic discussed heat stress and how to prevent it. Work scope was discussed. Some concern<br />

expressed over congestion and personnel working in close proximity to equipment. Excavator operators were reminded that they<br />

control their work area and will make sure everyone is following their direction when in that area.<br />

Work Activity Summary<br />

Gross and secondary sorting in Trenches J, L, C and K. Loading EROF containers from Trenches C, J and D. 15 Boxes of liners<br />

were delivered @ 1415 hrs. Handled 5 anomalies, Characterized 4 anomalies in the morning (3.5 crew hours.)<br />

All soils disturbed today were treated with a soil fixative at the end of the shift.<br />

SafetyfrraininaJAccident/lncident Activities<br />

Monthly GFCI Inspections performed. All were functioning properly.<br />

Excavation Inspections<br />

Performed by Ron Belden @ 0645 hrs immediately after the POD. All excavations were approved for personnel entry. This was<br />

communicated to the workforce via radio.<br />

Air Monitor Inspections<br />

Performed by Ron Belden (0 0545 hrs prior to the POD. All monitors were running.<br />

Delays (Concurrence y WCH:<br />

Rad~on Equip: No. 2 sorting crew down for 2.5 hours (0845-1115 hrs) while the CRATER system was not functioning.<br />

Wind: Shutdown at 1500 hrs due to excessive winds (1 hour).<br />

Other<br />

NorthPoint Electrical was onsite to troubleshoot the Frisking Tent lighting.
