shall also address, and be fully compatible with, the security model used<br />

by COUNTY for the LAnet/EN.<br />

1. The LRS shall use TCP/IP as its single networking protocol.<br />

2. The LRS design shall incorporate TCP/IP based protocols, including<br />

FTP, SFTP, and Telnet for communicating with external COUNTY,<br />

State and federal systems.<br />

3. The LRS shall support IPv4 addressing.<br />

4. The LRS shall be capable <strong>of</strong> supporting IPv6 addressing.<br />

5. The LRS shall be fully Lightweight Directory Access Protocol<br />

(LDAP) compliant and able to interoperate with COUNTY directory<br />

services.<br />

6. The LRS shall be able to establish a transparent, seamless integration<br />

with COUNTY’s preferred e-mail system for the purposes <strong>of</strong> LRSoriented<br />

communications, such as alerts and notifications.<br />

3.2.4 Service Requirements.<br />

Service Requirements refer to how LRS services and capabilities shall be<br />

delivered to and from the LAnet/EN and the Internet. Therefore, the LRS<br />

shall be governed by a set <strong>of</strong> service requirements that specify additional<br />

necessary aspects <strong>of</strong> the LRS Application S<strong>of</strong>tware, the technical<br />

infrastructure, and delivery <strong>of</strong> services, including the following:<br />

• Legislative and compliance standards specified by mandates <strong>of</strong><br />

COUNTY or other governing bodies, including Web content and<br />

accessibility standards, along with legislated security and privacy<br />

policies<br />

• Hosting concerns involving the ability to fully administer and manage<br />

the LRS, both the LRS Application S<strong>of</strong>tware and the technical<br />

infrastructure, from a secure, Web-enabled interface<br />

• Integration and support <strong>of</strong> COUNTY-provided endpoint services, such<br />

as workstation and laptop applications, local printing, scanning, and<br />

file services with the necessary LRS Application S<strong>of</strong>tware services.<br />
