1. The LRS shall provide seamless integration to commercially available<br />

document management systems. The existing COUNTY document<br />

management system is Computer Automated Scanning and Tracking<br />

(CAST).<br />

2. The LRS shall, without User intervention, be updated with information<br />

regarding links to images related to an case or individual stored in<br />

external document management systems, and shall store such links in<br />

the LRS Data.<br />

3. The LRS shall include integration, storage and retrieval <strong>of</strong> COUNTYspecified<br />

document management services which may be internal or<br />

external to LRS Data and may include:<br />

a. Paper document imaging (e.g., CAST);<br />

b. E-mail;<br />

c. Fax;<br />

d. Document images in formats specified by COUNTY; and<br />

e. Electronic signatures.<br />

4. The LRS shall support archiving <strong>of</strong> any document management<br />

services images that are stored within the LRS, integrated with the<br />

case information archiving.<br />

5. The LRS shall maximize the utilization <strong>of</strong> paperless systems and<br />

workflow technology for User entry <strong>of</strong> approvals.<br />

6. The LRS shall, when an image is stored within the LRS, have the<br />

image indexed and available for online viewing and/or printing as<br />

needed.<br />

7. The LRS shall, when an image is archived within the LRS, have the<br />

ability to retrieve the image linked to active or historical case records<br />

and/or individual records and deliver the image to the COUNTYspecified<br />

User.<br />

8. The LRS shall enable or prohibit the editing <strong>of</strong> images as specified by<br />

COUNTY.<br />

9. The LRS shall, for an image stored within the LRS, have the ability to<br />

link the database record with the image.<br />

10. The LRS shall provide access to case history and use previously<br />

validated LRS Data to allow comparison and to avoid reentry <strong>of</strong><br />

existing information including: birth records, <strong>Social</strong> Security numbers,<br />

and citizenship documentation.<br />

11. The LRS shall support bar-coding technologies for current and future<br />

business processes, as specified by COUNTY.<br />
