1. The LRS shall complete the electronic transfer <strong>of</strong> cases between<br />

workers and/or Local Office Sites.<br />

2. The LRS shall control the transfer <strong>of</strong> physical cases between workers<br />

and/or Local Office Sites.<br />

3. The LRS shall complete the electronic transfer <strong>of</strong> cases between<br />

workers and/or Local Offices Sites using County-specified criteria<br />

including:<br />

a. Geographic location <strong>of</strong> the participant;<br />

b. Specialized Local Office Site operations that need to replenish<br />

caseloads;<br />

c. Customer service (e.g. a participant may live in one area and work<br />

in another); and<br />

d. Caseload types and programs supported in the receiving location.<br />

4. The LRS shall support the COUNTY policy, for which cases may be<br />

transferred, when authorized, to a Local Office Site other than the one<br />

where the participant geographically resides.<br />

5. The LRS shall allow COUNTY-specified Users to override the<br />

automated process when transferring/accepting transferred cases,<br />

including cases that do not belong to the sending/receiving Local<br />

Office Site.<br />

6. The LRS shall transfer the alerts, reminders, and controls associated<br />

with a case, when a case is transferred.<br />

7. The LRS shall notify all workers and/or Service Providers associated<br />

with a case, when the case has transferred to another Local Office Site<br />

and/or service area.<br />

8. The LRS shall include a geographical mapping system that identifies if<br />

a case shall be assigned to a different location, either to a different<br />

Local Office Site or out <strong>of</strong> COUNTY.<br />

9. The LRS shall generate a transfer slip, as specified by COUNTY, for<br />

each case being transferred.<br />

10. The LRS shall support the transfer <strong>of</strong> the closed case to specialized<br />

files.<br />

11. The LRS shall prevent the transfer <strong>of</strong> cases to storage when there are<br />

open benefits or services in the case, as specified by COUNTY.<br />

12. The LRS shall generate, and mail to the applicant/recipient, a “Change<br />

in Worker” form, as appropriate by program, when cases are<br />

transferred or reassigned.<br />
