communication channels to include e-mail, pager, voicemail, and<br />

wireless messaging.<br />

12. The LRS shall complete backups during Off Prime Business Hours,<br />

with no adverse effect on LRS performance.<br />

13. The LRS shall, for the Primary Central Site and Backup Central Site,<br />

unless otherwise requested by COUNTY, secure and retain all LRS<br />

Data backup media for the following minimum timeframes or for other<br />

time periods specified by COUNTY, which ever is longer:<br />

a. Daily backups: Fourteen (14) days or back to the last LRS<br />

Application S<strong>of</strong>tware version, whichever is longer;<br />

b. Weekly backups: Six (6) weeks;<br />

c. Monthly backups: Four (4) months;<br />

d. Quarterly backups: Four (4) quarters;<br />

e. Annual backups: Seven (7) years; and<br />

g. Disaster recovery: Last two (2) functional versions <strong>of</strong> the LRS<br />

Data and LRS Application S<strong>of</strong>tware.<br />

35. The LRS shall perform monthly tests <strong>of</strong> the daily/weekly/monthly<br />

backup processes.<br />

36. The LRS shall ensure that failover needed to keep the LRS available to<br />

the Users is transparent to the Users. This includes automated<br />

switchover to the Backup Central Site to meet performance<br />

requirements in the event that the Primary Central Site suffers a loss <strong>of</strong><br />

availability.<br />

37. The LRS shall include redundancy onsite at the Primary Central Site<br />

and at the Central Print Facility to protect against power supply<br />

failures with sufficient capacity to last until the Backup Central Site<br />

and Backup Print Facility are fully operational, but in no event with<br />

less than a four (4) hour capacity.<br />

38. The LRS shall include redundancy to protect against cooling system<br />

failures at the Primary Central Site, Backup Central Site, Central Print<br />

Facility, Backup Print Facility, and Project Office.<br />

39. The LRS shall allow selected backup <strong>of</strong> COUNTY-specified LRS<br />

components, as opposed to a complete disk image.<br />

40. The LRS shall encrypt data during the backup processes.<br />

41. The LRS shall minimize access restrictions or LRS functionality errors<br />

during the enterprise-wide backup process.<br />

42. The LRS backups shall minimize disruption to User daily operations.<br />
