12. The LRS shall be able to capture, store, and display electronic<br />

signatures and signature dates.<br />

13. The LRS shall support optical character recognition (OCR) for the<br />

capture <strong>of</strong> information to a screen, case comment, or database as<br />

specified by COUNTY.<br />

3.5.2 Internal and External System Interfaces:<br />

The LRS shall support secure automated, integrated internal and external<br />

system interfaces with COUNTY and external agencies. The LRS shall<br />

interface with over sixty (60) systems at the federal. State, and COUNTY<br />

levels. Section 4 (Summary <strong>of</strong> Required LRS Interfaces) <strong>of</strong> this<br />

Attachment B lists the systems that will or may interface with the LRS.<br />

To the greatest extent possible, interface activities shall be scheduled to<br />

occur at times which shall have the least impact on LRS performance and<br />

the least disruption to User activity.<br />

1. The LRS shall enable the sharing <strong>of</strong> information across multiple<br />

agencies.<br />

2. The LRS shall include automated, integrated interfaces with COUNTY<br />

and external agencies’ known interfaces, as specified in Section 4<br />

(Summary <strong>of</strong> Required LRS Interfaces) <strong>of</strong> this Attachment B.<br />

3. The LRS shall, to the greatest extent possible, schedule batch interface<br />

actions to occur at a time that shall least affect LRS performance, as<br />

specified by COUNTY.<br />

4. The LRS shall coexist with external agency applications residing on<br />

the workstation or laptop without creating configuration issues or<br />

response time issues.<br />

5. The LRS shall alert COUNTY-specified Users <strong>of</strong> any changes to a<br />

individual or case record resulting from updates through an interface.<br />

6. The LRS shall take action on external data received from interfaces,<br />

without intervention by COUNTY-specified Users, if possible, or<br />

direct the change to the appropriate staff via LRS notification if<br />

automatic action cannot be taken.<br />

7. The LRS shall track updates to the database made as a result <strong>of</strong><br />

external data received, along with the source <strong>of</strong> the data.<br />

8. The LRS shall include the ability, via interfaces, to implement changes<br />

triggered by policy changes or mass financial changes.<br />
