19. The LRS shall allow an applicant to withdraw his application or<br />
continue with the intake process at any point in the process.<br />
20. The LRS shall allow COUNTY-specified Users to bypass the prescreening<br />
process.<br />
21. The LRS shall support application registration and evaluation, as<br />
specified by COUNTY, for<br />
a. Traffic in the traditional <strong>of</strong>fice setting;<br />
b. Outreach User contacts in both fixed and non-fixed locations;<br />
c. Non-DPSS COUNTY Users;<br />
d. Non-COUNTY agencies; and<br />
e. General public e-Government applications.<br />
2.5 DATA COLLECTION:<br />
Data collection has two primary functions. The first is to allow COUNTYspecified<br />
Users to collect information and enter the LRS Data necessary to<br />
establish a case. The second is to allow COUNTY-specified Users to modify<br />
and/or add LRS Data that may impact the ongoing eligibility <strong>of</strong> individuals on a<br />
case or the case as a whole.<br />
The purpose <strong>of</strong> the intake process is to collect and verify information from<br />
applicants in order to determine their eligibility for public assistance programs.<br />
This can be accomplished through interactive interviews, mail-in requests,<br />
telephone interviews, and outreach efforts. The LRS shall record all information<br />
required for the intake process.<br />
The case maintenance process provides for the maintenance <strong>of</strong> individuals and<br />
cases that have been approved and ensures that each individual's LRS Data and<br />
case record reflects current information. It is the ongoing activity <strong>of</strong> updating<br />
case-specific information, as required by applicable federal, State, and local laws,<br />
rules, regulations, ordinances, guidelines, directives, policies, and procedures.<br />
Information used in the case maintenance process is derived from several sources,<br />
including person-to-person contacts and telephone calls with participants, home<br />
visits, LRS Data received through interfaces, periodic reports, Redeterminations,<br />
Recertifications, Annual Agreements, and referrals. The LRS shall additionally<br />
