31. The LRS shall prevent the concurrent updating <strong>of</strong> the same records<br />

and/or fields by more than one User.<br />

32. The LRS shall include a query analyzer.<br />

33. The LRS shall include Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools in<br />

order to support the analysis <strong>of</strong> multidimensional data.<br />

3.4.4.1. Data Exchange.<br />

1. The LRS shall be capable <strong>of</strong> using XML, secure point-topoint<br />

connections, direct database accessing, WebMethods,<br />

FTP, and other protocols to integrate various services and<br />

systems.<br />

2. The LRS shall be capable <strong>of</strong> using SOAP messaging<br />

protocols in order to encode the information in Web services<br />

request and response messages before transport over the<br />

network.<br />

3.4.4.2. Data Analysis and Reporting.<br />

Data analysis and reporting encompasses a set <strong>of</strong> critical<br />

functional services for COUNTY-specified Users, including the<br />

tools, languages, and protocols used to extract LRS Data from a<br />

data store and process it into useful information. A major<br />

emphasis in COUNTY technical requirements is on a userfriendly<br />

reporting system that provides timely, accurate, and<br />

reliable information to COUNTY-specified Users without<br />

adversely impacting the performance <strong>of</strong> the production<br />

environment. The numerous reports required by the LRS<br />

include:<br />

• State and federally mandated reports<br />

• Month-end reports<br />

• Statistical reports<br />

• Case management reports<br />

• Internal management reports<br />

• Ad hoc reports<br />
