3. The LRS shall include network address translation (NAT) services on<br />

CONTRACTOR LRS computing devices that connect to the<br />

LAnet/EN.<br />

4. The LRS Gateway to the LAnet/EN shall include redundancy and fault<br />

tolerance.<br />

5. The LRS shall incorporate a Network Load Balancing (NLB) model in<br />

order to route network traffic in the most efficient manner so as to<br />

maximize processing performance and maintain LRS availability, as<br />

specified by COUNTY.<br />

6. The LRS shall include a mechanism for scanning LRS hardware ports<br />

in order to identify vulnerable points in LRS hardware.<br />

7. The LRS shall include a mechanism to close/remedy vulnerable points<br />

in the LRS.<br />

8. The LRS shall utilize the most current s<strong>of</strong>tware and hardware firewall<br />

technologies in order to allow only legitimate traffic and safeguard<br />

against external attacks.<br />

9. The LRS shall utilize a packet protection technology (e.g., Cisco’s<br />

Adaptive Threat Defense) in order to protect every packet and every<br />

packet flow on the network and to identify and eradicate network<br />

attacks at their source.<br />

10. The LRS shall utilize a real-time network-wide security management<br />

technology (e.g., Cisco Security Monitoring Analysis and Response<br />

System (CS-MARS)) to aggregate, correlate, and analyze security data<br />

from computing devices network-wide, in order to identify and<br />

eliminate network attacks at their source.<br />

11. The LRS shall include a patch management solution for the LRS<br />

S<strong>of</strong>tware and LRS Hardware.<br />

12. The CONTRACTOR shall install antivirus s<strong>of</strong>tware and virus<br />

signature s<strong>of</strong>tware updates and patches on all LRS Hardware,<br />

immediately, and in no event later than one (1) Day after the update or<br />

patch is available, unless otherwise directed by COUNTY Project<br />

Director.<br />

13. The CONTRACTOR shall test updates and patches, other than<br />

antivirus s<strong>of</strong>tware and virus signature s<strong>of</strong>tware updates and patches, in<br />

no later than one (1) Day after the update or patch is available, unless<br />

otherwise directed by COUNTY Project Director.<br />

14. The CONTRACTOR shall submit a test results report for each update<br />

and patch within ten (10) days after the update or patch is available.<br />

The report shall include:<br />

a. Description <strong>of</strong> the update or patch;<br />
