Case Details:
A year ago, a few smugglers told victim Sirajul Mondal to give 12 Kgs of meat as a bribe to BSF
officers, but refused to pay him money for the meat. When Sirajul refused, a fight broke out and
the smugglers threatened Sirajul with dire consequences.
At midnight on 4 th June 2007, the smugglers attacked Sirajul at his house with bombs and guns.
Sirajul attempted to flee, but was injured when they hurled a bomb at him. The local villagers took
Sirajul to the hospital, but he was not given proper treatment.
The next day, Sirajul Mondal lodged a complaint at Jalangi PS, but the police have failed to
investigate the case. Sirajul still is under threats from the perpetrators.

Case Details:
The victim Srinat Ghosh belonged to a backward Class. Ramakrishna and few others offered
Srinat a job at pipe factory. On 5 June 2007, Srinat Ghosh went with Ramakrishna to the factory.
The next day he called his father Tarani Ghosh to tell him that he safely reached the factory.
However, on 7 June 2007, Srinat went missing. Tarani Ghosh went to the factory, but Srinat was
not there.
