A motor bike besides the pandal was knocked over and broke some lights. The owner of the bike, Deepak came out and found Imran Alam and his friends sitting on a cot and suspected them as the culprits. He lodged a complaint at Titagarh PS against Imran. The police, in search of victim Imran Alam, went to his house and slapped and verbally abused his parents. On 18 November 2007, the SI caught Imran. The SI slapped him and threatened him to break his legs and arms. The victim lodged a complaint to the higher officials to take measures but no measures were taken. Advocate Bidyut Basu also stayed on the premises. On 15 th December 2007, Kakoli was taking a rest at the Institution when a lady and a man entered and asked several questions about yoga. Kakoli was not able to answer them. The lady became annoyed and insulted Kakoli. She then proceeded to beat Kakoli with her fists.
Later, Kakoli realized that the lady was OC Debasree Chatterjee of Immortal Traffic Section, Lalbazar, in civilian attire. Kakoli and others were taken to the PS. Bidyut Basu went to the PS and asked the police if they had seized anything from the Institution or if they had proof that Kakoli was engaged in illegal activities. The police failed to answer her. Kakoli was kept in judicial custody and then produced before the Magistrate. Later, she was released on bail. Kolkat Traffis Sergeant Chaterjee, associated with the South Guard PS, registered a case against the two for parking in a prohibited zone. When Hossain protested, Sergeant Chaterjee beat Hossain and kicked him in the stomach with his boot. Sergeant Chaterjee also slapped Hossain’s colleague.
