M050 Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
The degree course program combines a thorough education
in the application of engineering science principles with a
broad span of studies important to a professional engineer.
Streaming in later years of the course is offered through a
system of technical elective subjects which allows students to
select a particular emphasis for their four-and-a-half year
industry based learning (cooperative) program.
Degree course revision
Students entering the first year of the mechanical
engineering course will be enrolled in the common first year,
and will follow the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
1990 syllabus.
Courses are arranged to allow flexibility so that any student
may transfer from full-time to part-time studies or vice-versa,
at particular points of a course, without loss of credit for
subjects passed.
