guide for persons seeking admission to Swinburne University
of Technology,and shall not be deemed to constitute a

In 1982, the Freedom of Information Act was passed by the
Parliament of Victoria. The Act, which applies to Swinburne
and other tertiary institutions, came into effect on 5 July
1983, The Act gives (with certain exemptions), legally
enforceable rights of access to information. It is the policy of
Swinburne to conform with the spirit and intention of the
Act in the disclosure to the public of any information they
may seek. Enquiries should be made to the Registrar.
