These records contain material relating to Henry Morgenthau, Secretary of the Treasury from<br />

1934 to 1945. The diaries are organized chronologically and separated into individual boxes,<br />

microfilmed as ca. 800 reels. The diaries record the Secretary’s activities, examine his policies<br />

and his explanations of them, and describe his relationships with his personal and political<br />
