SECTION 211220 – STORAGE TANKS
PART 1 GENERAL
1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS
A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary
Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section.
1.2 SECTION INCLUDES
A. Portable water storage tanks for containment of contaminated fire protection water
runoff.
1.3 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit the following in accordance with Section 013300, Submittal Procedures:
1. Catalog data indicating material and construction, dimensions, capacity, location
of ports and vents, and specific features.
1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Source Limitations for water storage tanks: Obtain each type of water storage tank from
single source from single manufacturer.
B. Testing: All tanks to include certified hydrostatic test from manufacturer.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.1 PRODUCT OPTIONS AND SUBSTITUTIONS
A. Comply with Section 012500, Substitution Procedures.
2.2 MANUFACTURERS
A. Baker Corporation – Frontier Fixed Axle Tank
2.3 PORTABLE WATER TANK
A. General:
1. Provide fixed axle portable water tank or combination of water tanks suitable for
exterior locations, for containment of contaminated water from fire protection
water runoff (minimum 42,000 gal).
B. Construction:
1. 1/4 “ thick ASTM A36 carbon steel floor, sides and roof
2. 6” x 3” x ¼” STM A36 formed channel on 27” center wall frame construction
