2.3 ROOF INSULATION
A. Polyisocyanurate Board Insulation: ASTM C 1289, Type II, Class 1, Grade 2, felt or glass-fiber
mat facer on both major surfaces.
1. Firestone, ISO 95+GL.
2. GAF, EnergyGuard.
3. John Manville, E’NRG’Y 3.
B. Tapered Insulation: Provide factory-tapered insulation boards fabricated to slope of 1/4 inch
per 12 inches unless otherwise indicated.
C. Provide preformed saddles, crickets, tapered edge strips, and other insulation shapes where
indicated for sloping to drain. Fabricate to slopes indicated.
2.4 INSULATION ACCESSORIES
A. Cold-Applied Adhesive: Insulation manufacturer’s recommended cold-applied two component
foam polyurethane adhesive formulated to attach roof insulation to another insulation layer or
cover board.
2.5 COVER BOARDS
A. Cover Board: ASTM C 1177, glass-mat, water-resistant gypsum substrate, 1/4 inch
thick, factory primed.

2.6 ROOFTOP SUPPORTS
A. General: The use of wood block supports and straps is prohibited.
B. Rooftop Supports: Provide factory-formed, rubber or high density polypropylene rooftop
supports for all conduits and piping acceptable to membrane roofing system manufacturer.
Space supports at a maximum of eight feet on-center, and select support device appropriate for
commodity being supported.
1. Products: Products that may be incorporated into the Work include, but are not limited to
the following: Proposed “or equal” substitutions of products must be pre-approved in
writing prior to bidding.

b. Cooper B-Line, Dura Block.
