1.5 SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For pipe, tube, fittings, valves, and couplings.
B. LEED Submittal:
1. Product Data for Credit EQ 4.1: For solvent cements and adhesive primers, including
printed statement of VOC content.
C. Field quality-control inspection and test reports.
D. Welding certificates.
1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Piping materials shall bear label, stamp, or other markings of specified testing agency.
B. Steel Support Welding: Qualify processes and operators according to AWS D1.1, "Structural
Welding Code--Steel."
C. Steel Pipe Welding: Qualify processes and operators according to ASME Boiler and Pressure
Vessel Code: Section IX, "Welding and Brazing Qualifications."
1. Comply with provisions in ASME B31 Series, "Code for Pressure Piping."
D. Certify that each welder has passed AWS qualification tests for welding processes involved and
that certification is current.
E. ASME Compliance:
1. Comply with ASME B31.9, "Building Services Piping.”
F. Examination Requirements for ASME B31.9:
1. Perform a visual examination in accordance with ASME B31.9 Paragraph 936.4.1

2.1 MANUFACTURERS
A. In other Part 2 articles where titles below introduce lists, the following requirements apply to
product selection:
1. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufacturers
offering products that may be incorporated into the Work include, but are not limited to,
manufacturers specified.
2. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide products by one of the
manufacturers specified.
