19. Adequate safety devices and fault indicator shall be incorporated to shut down the
compressor and require manual reset in the event of:
a. Loss of Air Cooling
b. High Lubricant Temperature
c. High Air Temperature
d. Low Lubricant Level
e. Low Lubricant Pressure
f. Temporary Loss of Power
20. Air Compressor Assembly Instrumentation shall contain the following:
a. Hour Meter
b. Air Usage Indicator Calibrated in Percent of Load
c. Lubricant Temperature Gauge (Discharge From Compressor)
d. Air Pressure Gauges.
e. Air Filter Condition Indication
f. Lubricant Filter Condition Indication
g. Separator Element Condition Indicator
h. Lubricant Reservoir Level Gauge
21. Wet air receiver tank: 200 gallon, 200-psig rated horizontal steel tank with ASME safety
valve, minimum pressure valve, blowdown valve, and suitable for supporting air
compressor package.
22. The compressor unit shall include all items not mentioned above that are normally supplied
on a standard unit to assure proper operation of the unit. This shall include, but not be
limited to, interconnecting piping and wiring, initial lubricant supply, steel base with all
equipment mounted. All electrical components shall comply with the NEC.
2.3 DRY AIR RECEIVERS
A. Description:
1. ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 coded pressure vessel.
2. Arrangement: Vertical, 36-in. diameter by 124-in. tall.
3. Capacity: 500 gal.
4. Pressure Rating: 165 psig minimum.
5. Safety Relief Valve Setting: 150 psig.
6. Pressure gauge, 0-200 PSIG, with 4" face.
7. Two 2-in FNPT ports.
8. One 3-in FNPT port.
9. 1-in. FNPT drain port.
10. 1/2-in. FNPT top port.
11. 1-1/2-in. FNPT port.
12. Drain: Automatic electric valve with ½” manual isolation valve.
13. Interior Finish: unpainted.
14. Exterior finish: steel primer.
15. Two each lifting lugs welded to top head.
16. Standard bottom skirt and floor mount clip assembly (4 each)
17. Auxiliary parts shipped loose.
18. Assembly drawing and ASME Code data report.
