And thanks for the information. So it appears that WOF has got two DRM
capable transmitters. I wonder where in Europe the 160deg beam was
intended for - perhaps Irish peaople on holiday in the south? [160deg is
in direction of Mallorca Spain, wb].
But I would be very surprised if anyone interested in Irish sport was
actually listening in DRM anyway. There was no SW service to where most
people of Irish descent live - USA and Australia. I don't know how far
into Europe the [longwave] 252 signal goes, but it should cover most of
the UK I think.
I didn't try any later than 1430 UT for the two MEY 11 MHz transmissions,
but I would probably have heard them if I had. Propagation is slightly
better today (22nd) and RNZI 9615 was the best I've heard it for some
time.. Let's hope it continues.
