NORWAY 7215 UKEsenderen (The Week sender), Trondheim. On Oct 1, I asked
Norvald Ryeng, if there are any news concerning a possible reactivation of
UKEsenderen in 2009 and immediately got the following answer. We should
keep on asking for it:
"Hi, Harald!
The short answers is: We do not know yet. As you may be aware of,
UKEsenderen has not been on the air for a few years now. Akademisk
Radioklubb (LA1K) would very much like to revive it, but since UKEsenderen
is a special event radio station for the UKA student festival, there will
be no radio station unless the board of UKA decides so. I am sending a
copy of this e-mail to them, hoping that they can give a final answer.
Since listeners' reports from earlier years and requests such as yours
still keep trickling in to
we will continue to read e-mail and keep
updated with any news as we hear of it. I am also sure the short wave
listening community will be quick to pass on the news, if we manage to
revive the station.
I wish to thank all of you that show such a keen interest in UKEsenderen!

My UKE-QSL of 1995 transmission tells they started in year 1933. In 1995
they used SW 7215 with a 300W NERA transmitter, MW 1485 with a 100W NERA
transmitter and FM 103 MHz with a 100W Telefunken transmitter. The QSL was
signed by LA7OJA, Jorunn Anita Sunde.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3365, R. Milne Bay at 1236-1246* UT on Oct 11, in
English, relay on NBC programming, pop songs, on-air calls with music
dedications, gives phone numbers and NBC email address, suddenly off. Do
not often hear this one.
