7510 kHz English at 2059-21.27:22 UT superb S=9+20 dB - best signal ever
heard in past years, on the 300 degr antenna tonight. Perfect matching
the signal, not muffled, it's SUPERB signal.
9345 kHz English at 2059-2128 UT well done S=9+10 dB at 310 degr antenna.
also from 2128 UT 9345 kHz Alban. same as English.
6005 kHz Albanian at 21.28:06 UT - interval signal at 2130 UT, signal
performed well at S=9+10 dB level. Lower sideband VoRussia in Serbian, but
not much interference. Upper sideband FREE tonight, no IRIB on 6010
anymore.

7360 was also a good signal here in GB when opening at 0730 UT. I heard
the station announcer giving the frequency(ies) of various transmissions,
and I hope he announced 7360 instead of 7105. The low end of the 41 metre
band (7100-7200 kHz) was full of amateur stations due to a contest taking
place - and there was a big "pile up" on about 7105. However, 7360 was
completely clear of any interference and I think should work well during
B-08.

R Tirana French 1830-1900 UT - I tuned to 7465 just before the halfhour
and there was a fine S=9+20dB signal there with the Interval signal. In
SINPO I estimate 55544. Obviously there was no interference, and I found
adjacent 7460 / 7470 to be clear. Audio quality was adequate, but could be
better. At least it was "loud" and reasonably well modulated.
Serbian 1900-1915 UT - The signal here was peaking to 9 and with a weak
unidentified co-channel station below, and not causing me any difficulty
in hearing the programme. There was also slight splash from 6005. In SINPO
I estimate 34533+. Audio was well modulated and clear, and this should
reach the target area satisfactorily.
English 1945-2000 UTC - This was on air via 7465, but signal strength here
was only peaking to about 9 via the Rreth antenna. I estimate SINPO as
35533+. And the use of this antenna always introduces more "fading" of the
signal. Audio quality was satisfactory. Please consider changing to the S-
08 antenna. I was using a communications type receiver with a long wire
outdoor antenna, but someone trying to listen with a portable receiver and
a whip antenna would receive a much worse signal. Adjacent channels were
again clear.
I was surprised to be able to hear 11645, but I did, and it was peaking to
about S5 SINPO estimated as 25433 on a clear frequency. Good to read that
it was heard better in the Stateside target area.
French 2000-2030 UTC - What a difference a directional antenna makes! The
signal on 7465 was now 9+10-20dB or SINPO 4+5534. Obviously interference
free and with satisfactory audio.
Italian 2000-2030 UTC - Voice of Russia interval signal was playing when I
tuned to 6155. This stopped at 2000 UT, but carrier was left on for just
over two minutes. This was stronger than Shijak and, although I could hear
voices, Italian didn't become obvious until the Russian carrier went off
air. The signal from Shijak was peaking to about 7, and occasionally 9,
and there was varying levels of interference from a faulty transmitter on
the low side of frequency putting out a loud buzz[VoRUS Moscow Lesnoy?
16-22 UT as in B-07 season too, see under RUSSIA, wb.].
I could not tell which transmitter it was, but the buzz was heard
continuously to as low as 6120. Let us hope it doesn't appear again. SINPO
