Um DVB-T in weiten Teilen des Westerwaldes sowie in Teilen des Hunsruecks
und der Eifel und am Mittelrhein empfangen zu koennen, werden die
Standorte Bad Marienberg, Koblenz (Kuehkopf) und Ahrweiler (Schoeneberg
bei Weibern) umgeruestet. Wie in den bisherigen Umstellungsgebieten wird
die Ausstrahlung des analogen Antennenfernsehens mit der Inbetriebnahme
von DVB-T beendet.
Mit der Umruestung der Standorte Haardtkopf (Hunsrueck), Eifel (Daun),
Trier und Saarburg wird voraussichtlich im November die grossflaechige
Umstellung auf DVB-T in Rheinland-Pfalz abgeschlossen. Fast zeitgleich
wird auch in Baden-Wuerttemberg an den Standorten Waldenburg, Aalen und
Pforzheim DVBT in Betrieb genommen.
Belegung fuer DVB-T auf neuem Pfaffenberg-Sender steht Auf dem Pfaffenberg
bei Aschaffenburg wird derzeit ein neuer Sendeturm gebaut, der ab Ende
2008 den Spessart und Grossteile des Rhein-Main-Gebiets mit digital-
terrestrischem Antennenfernsehen (DVB-T) sowie - wie bisher - UKW-Hoerfunk
und DAB versorgen soll.
Auf der Website kann nicht nur der Bau des
Senders per Webcams beobachtet werden. Hier finden sich jetzt auch
detaillierte Angaben zur DVB-T-Belegung. Demzufolge wird auf Kanal 25
(Leistung: 50 kW) das ZDF-Paket mit den Programmen ZDF, 3sat,
Ki.Ka/Dokukanal und der ZDF Infokanal ausgestrahlt. Auf Kanal 36
(Leistung: 100 kW) sendet das ARD-Paket mit den Programmen DasErste,
Phoenix, arte und Eins Plus. Das BR-Paket mit den Sendern Bayerisches
Fernsehen, SWR Fernsehen, hr Fernsehen und BR Alpha ist auf Kanal 46
(Leistung: ebenfalls 100 kW) zu finden.

HUNGARY 3975 and 6025, Magyar R, Jaszbereny, incl. relays of Kossuth R
and FS obviously was seriously cut down by Apr 01. It is now only noticed
in Hungarian tentatively at *1000-1100* and *1600-1700* on 6025, and at
*2100-2200* on 3975 . Heard e.g. Apr 26 and 27 at 1615-1700* on 6025 with
55544, after which VOIRI, Tehran took over in Arabic. Also heard at 1000-
1100* in Hungarian closing with the multilingual ID for R Budapest.

Magyar R is reluctant to explain these cuts, but a public voting in March
2008 forbid the Government to make extra social and medical expenses for
the man in the street. Thus it was forced to find other ways to bring down
the state deficit and unfortunately this seem to be one of them.

INDIA [Lakshadweep Isl.] Thomson powers AIR. All India Radio (AIR) has
selected Thomson's M2W medium-wave transmitters for the launch of the
first local radio channels to India's Lakshadweep Islands. The new service
will go on air during 2008. Thomson's M2W 10 kW medium-wave transmitters,
already in use at AIR stations all over India, will now be used to
broadcast the first local content from Kavarati radio station throughout
the Lakshadweep Islands.
AIR is India's national broadcaster and has one of the largest radio
networks in the world, covering over 99% of the Indian population. The The
Lakshadweep medium-wave project marks a new milestone in the successful
co-operation between Thomson and Broadcast Engineering Corporation India
Limited (BECIL), who are supplying the auxiliary items for the
transmitter.
