RUSSIA 7320 GTRK Magadan, 0210-0235, Nov 25; local/regional
programming; ID "Govorit Magadan" ("Magadan speaking"), mostly one man
talking in Russian, BoH same jingle and ID as heard yesterday, series of
advertisements for Magadan. So I can now confirm their local/regional
programming is on from 0210-0300. Thanks to the kind assistance of Bernd
Trutenau, who listened to the audio clip and provided information for ID
and ads.

Wellen der Stimme Russlands, Nov 26th.
Ich habe die Live-Sendung von gestern Abend auf 6145 kHz mitgeschnitten
und auf 4shared abgelegt. Wer moechte, kann sich den Mitschnitt anhoeren

Grosny MW 657 and 1287 kHz.
Das Berliner Unternehmen Transradio liefert nach Informationen aus
Russland dem dortigen Senderbetreiber RTRS zwei Mittelwellensender des
Typs TRAM 50 fuer den Standort Grosny. Diese jeweils 50 kW starken Sender
sollen dort auf 657 und 1287 kHz zum Einsatz kommen. Termin fuer die
Abnahme der erstellten Senderanlage ist der 30. Juni 2009.
1999/2000 war ein Grossteil der Sendeanlagen in Tschetschenien bei
Kampfhandlungen zerstoert worden. Fuer den UKW- und Fernsehbetrieb in
Grosny ging bereits 2001 eine neue, mit einem 120 Meter hohen Turm
ausgeruestete Sendestation auf dem Berg Jastrebinaja bei Grosny in
Betrieb.
Auf der Mittelwelle 657 kHz ist seit April 2000 ein auf dem Bahnhof
Alpatowo abgestellter Sendezug im Einsatz, der mit bis zu 100 kW arbeiten
kann und mit halber Leistung genutzt wird. Er uebertraegt das 1999
geschaffene, bis 2003 auch auf Kurzwelle verbreitete Sonderprogramm
Tschetschnija Swobodnaja aus Moskau.

RWANDA Unidentified on 11655 at 1735z Nov 27.
Unidentified station, perhaps AWR, in Arabic (I think), perhaps from
Madagascar. Program in progress at 1735z tune in. Sign off and carrier off
at 1757z. RNW sign on at 1759z. Signal strength was similar from the unid
to RNW.

It's definitely not in Arabic. Sounds more like Amharic to me, but not
sure. There are IDs on the clip, as well as a website, if we could just
make out what they are saying. The music reminds me of what has been heard
on some other Ethiopian clandestines.
Madagascar site is certainly suspect, as this neatly fills a one-hour gap
in RN transmissions between 17 and 18 UT. Another unpublicized
transmission via Madagascar, Andy? Not on the current RNW schedule either

Listen shortly after the word radio and dimtse is in there I believe,
which is a word used in Amharic station names/identifications.
