Latest Construction News In Madagascar, a sesquimile road and sesquimile
of fence has been built and a staff home, guard house, generator building
and a few tool buildings have been constructed. The transmitter building
which will contain three 100,000 transmitters is almost completed. Those 3
transmitters will soon be shipped to Madagascar and from the diesel
powered generators will send the broadcasts from the antennas that are
also being built. The towers are up and the wire will begin to be
stretched in January 2009.

Recent logs here are in distorted language. Being received well in SFL and
Louisiana. Alas distorted on R8 AM synchro, which holds in well. Seems
some improvement in signal clarity over two weeks ago. Imagine some
irritation with listening to non clear signal in listening area?
Confusing mentions of IDs for other locations. "Esta es Vera Cruz" and
example.

MOLDOVA Voice of Russia 1800-1900 Sat & Suns??
Tuned in Sat Nov 22 at 1800 UT on 6245 kHz on a Degen DE1102. This was
soon ditched at 1803 after hearing the quality of the signal. Superb VERY
strong signal and no interference at all. I have my main receiver
connected to an equalizer and hifi speakers and this was switched on to
fully appreciate Music and Musicians which follows the news. This hours
transmission sounded as good as a mono FM broadcast and was very
enjoyable. It's unfortunate that it's only 2 hours a week.
