A-08 Schedule for Azad Kashmir Radio Trarkhel: Aslam, Tnx, but could you
clarify "APR 10 kW"? I guess there is another number after API instead of
APR?
(Glenn to Aslam Javaid, via dxld Apr 3)
The 10 kW transmitter at Islamabad with call sign API-7 is reportedly off
air. According to Radio Pakistan, the 10 kW transmitter at Rawalpindi with
call sign APR-2 is being used for Azad Kashmir Radio Trarkhel. The number
which may added will be '2'.
PORTUGAL RDP Lisbon Portugal 7240 outlet suffered by some audio feed
fault this morning April 2nd. Transmission to Europe scheduled Mon-Fri
0500-0800 UT.
At 0502 UT came across the usual strong empty carrier, no audio at all
could be logged. At 0540 UT tx went off, at 0552 to 0555 UT off and on
again many times.
But RDP feed of Portuguese program to Europe started very late at 0647 UT
!
Dear Wolfgang, We informed that today occurred a technical problem with
our transmitter working on 7240 kHz. That was only fixed next to the end
of the transmission period.
We want to thank you for your kind co-operation and for your information.
Best regards from Lisboa,
Other txs are idle at that time - but don't ask me why they're simply not
pressed into sce. whenever a similar situation happens. I suppose it could
be done by remote control, and am sure the RDPi HF centre uses automation,
but like with any other similar stn, serious breakdowns can only be solved
by personel on the spot.
