LITHUANIA 6055 R. KBC (Netherlands) Relay 2132 UT. Bewildering, almost
indescribable melange of DJ shouting (mostly in American English, at least
once in UK English, several times in Dutch), endless jingle IDs, mention
of R. Caroline and what sounded like R. Atlantic, snippets of generic rock
music, high-tech sound effects a classic dog's breakfast.
Nearly impossible to get more than a word or two here and there because
the signal was so incredibly choppy. Did manage to catch "We are the
mighty KBC" at 2152 and "All over Europe ... the might KBC" at 2202, when
I finally tuned out, suffering from severe audio fatigue. Sked is *2130-
2230* per EiBi.

Italian, 0630-0727 UT, S=9+20dB, Holy Quran prayer, // direct 13770 &

LUXEMBOURG 1440 KBS world hat in seinen deutschsprachigen Programm von
23 August 2008 (Hoererecke) gemeldet das die Benutzung des Mittelwellen
Frequenz 1440 kHz bis Februar 2009 verlaengert wird.
Eigentlich sollte die Ausstrahlung auf dieser Frequenz Ende August 2008
beendet werden. Die Mittelwellen Frequenz ist sehr gut empfangen bei den
Hoerern laut KBS und deshalb hat KBS sich stark gemacht eine Verlaengerung
dafuer moeglich zu machen und mit Erfolg.
KBS World hat taeglich ein deutsches Programm auf der Mittelwelle von 1830
bis 1900 Uhr MESZ.
Uebrigens, gestern den 28 August, war die Sendung von KBS world auf 1440
kHz etwas gestoert. Es gab mehrmals einige Sekunden Funkstille und ob das
an meinem Autoradio lag oder an der Sendung weiss ich nicht.
China Radio international (CRI) spaeter am Abend (auf der selben Frequenz)
hatte die gleiche Probleme so um 2100 Uhr MESZ.

MALAYSIA 5030 RTM Sarawak Kuching. Another that has come back after
some weeks of inactivity 5030 mixing with China. 1200-1500 UT Malay of
course.

6049.65 Believe this ID came about from the eibi list, which incorrectly
shows Voice of Malaysia from 1400-1700 UT. In fact Suara Islam (Voice of
Islam) via RTM Kajang has been here now for over three years during this
time period. I routinely monitor them and frequently hear "Radio Suara
Islam" or "Radio Suara Islam FM" IDs, along with their singing "Suara
Islam" jingle and I less frequently hear "RTM" IDs. I double checked this
Sept 1 and found no change. At 1435 UT heard a clear ID for "Radio Suara
Islam FM", fair reception.
