GREECE 9420 VoGreece suffers by co-channel interference from China and<br />

Zambia in B-08 season.<br />

When I monitored 9420 on Wednesday, Oct 29, at 2000 and 2100 UT, there was<br />

no interference from Zambia, Africa 1. I won<strong>der</strong> if Zambia has moved to<br />

another frequency permanently to avoid collision with Voice of Greece, or<br />

if this is a "not on Wednesday" deal. I'll see what happens when I check<br />

today, Thursday.<br />

channel 9420 kHz station, which hit Avlis transmission in 1100-1700? UTC<br />

slot, originate from Lingshi China in Kazakh, Uighur, Mongolian !!<br />

HUNGARY 3975 Thanks to Hungarian <strong>DX</strong>er Istvan Hegedues, he identified<br />

the Hungarian label "OUR HOMELAND" program.<br />

Small schedule 3975 kHz at 0500-0600 and 2200-2300 UT. Recorded yesterday<br />

night Nov 1st 2200 UT opening fanfare and ID. 3975 and 6025 at 1100 and<br />

1700 UT, all according HFCC entry are 0 direction, ? that means non-dir<br />

antenna except the 5995 kHz North American outlet which is 306 degrees at<br />

0200-0300 UT.<br />

HNG SW Jaszbereny contain 22 curtain masts, single non-directional<br />

horizontal quadrant (HQ) antenna on the far right side stub leg, revolving<br />

antenna located on the northern stub leg.<br />

tonight I checked the very few shortwave transmissions of Mayar Radio on<br />

3975 kHz, to get the exact title of the station / program, like former<br />

"Radio Budapest" or Mayar Radio, Kossuth Radio...<br />

May you can listen to short piece, which I recorded at 22.00 UTC November<br />

1st. TX at Jaszbereny-HNG switched-ON at 21.56:00 UT. No interval signal,<br />

no pause identification, just carrier noise. Signal strength S=9+10dB not<br />

overwhelming.<br />

22.00:02 UT the broadcast on 3975 started with trumpet air horn fanfare<br />

for first 10 seconds.<br />
