From Monday 5 May 2008, we switched frequency to 7290 kHz on the 41m band
- as we have had zero feedback from Somali listeners (our target audience)
on the previous frequency. We will test for a further three days and hope
this one gets us where we want to be.
The service aims to provide humanitarian information and enws to Somalis,
and to get more of their voices and views on air and into circulation.

USA The FCC has now posted an updated A-08 schedule as of 6 May, with a
2 instead of a 1 at the end of the URL:
WWRB Its very first entry shows 3185 as 0000-1300 at 340 degrees. It also
still shows 9385 at 1300-2300 at 340 degrees, but B.S. was still going
there until abrupt cutoff in mid-word at 2355* May 20, so it seems FCC
schedules are regarded as only approximate by some private US SW stations.
After 0000 May 21, we found WWRB with B.S. on 5745, 6890.

VENEZUELA Una vez culminado el edificio Centro de Onda Corta. Senal de
RNV podra ser escuchada en todo el Continente Americano
El ingeniero Luis Alfredo Palacios, asesor del circuito RNV, explico que
el estado Guarico es un lugar estrategico para la instalacion de las
antenas transmisoras por el puesto que ocupa geograficamente en el centro
del pais.
La comision de contrataciones del Ministerio del Poder Popular para la
Comunicacion e Informaciones (Minci) y la comision del circuito Radio
Nacional de Venezuela (RNV), dieron respuesta a las inquietudes de los
representantes que participaron este martes en el concurso abierto de la
obra construccion del edificio Centro de Onda Corta para el Servicio
Autonomo Radio Nacional de Venezuela, ubicado en Calabozo estado Guarico.
