In einer regionalen Fernsehsendung wird mein Briefpartner interviewt,
Veteranen des Krieges und der heutige Kommandeur des Senders Goliath
kommen zu Wort. Fuer mich sind all diese Neuigkeiten aufregend und
interessant. Vor allem, was Dank des Internets heute moeglich ist.
Am wichtigsten ist, dass sich mir damit die Moeglichkeit bot, andere
Menschen kennen zu lernen. Der Briefkontakt hat mir einen kleinen Einblick
in das Leben der Familie Tschurotschkin gegeben, zumal mein Brieffreund
das gleiche Hobby hat, in meinem Alter ist und auch schon Grossvater ist.
Kuerzlich kam mit der Post ein dickes Buch ins Haus (mit viel Geschick
selbst gebunden) mit den genealogischen Aufzeichnungen der Familie
Tschurotschkin.

In 1974 Trans World Radio received the construction permit to build a
radio station on Guam. The medium wave outlet (KTWG) started in 1975, the
first two short wave transmitters of KTWR went on the air in autumn 1977.
They were officially inaugurated a few days before Christmas 1977.
The 1954 year mentioned refers to the Voice of Tangiers, a predecessor to
Trans World Radio.
