favorites) as of Oct 12, 2008!

Thanks Dragan for spread out the monitoring S-Meter figures. Rumen in
Sofia mentioned the 8th of Oct, when he discovered the audio was clean for
the first time after dreadful signals he heard in past months.
I looked into the RMS figures at Belgrade and Antwerp and compared it to
my observations, and even noted today that Saftica had breaks of some
minutes totally SILENCE - TX DOWN. So, be careful with WEIGHTING the
figures of a single minute only.
On 6135 I see high figures on Oct 13 and 14,
On 7130 I see high figures from Oct 10th onwards.
On 9620 I see high figure 193 only at Belgrade on Oct 14th [close-by
zone], but figure 112 on Oct 8th for the first time at Antwerp Belgium,
which location is midst on 1st hop.
So, finally, we are shure Saftica started with new Continental unit (my
favorites) as - BETWEEN Oct 8th and of October 13, 2008, depending of the
meter band ?!

RRI reliably with good signal in English to Europe and North America
beyond, Oct 9 at 2228 on 7185 and somewhat better 9790, both of which must
be new Galbenis with fine modulation, Romanian folk music, always a treat;
2237 mailbag reading an entry in their "fascination of radio listening"
contest. But better tune to the low side to avoid the QRDRM from Sackville
9795-9800-9805. Also found RRI fair in French on 6130, Oct 10 at 0124 with
ID and folk music.

RUSSIA 5920 Kamchatka Radio via Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka, local
programming from 0710-0800, Oct 8, pre-0710 and post-0800 had R. Rossii
programming, ID: "programa Kamchatka Radio", interviews, news, more
interviews, countless mentions of "Kamchatka", 0730 + 0737: "This is
Kamchatka", ToH 5+1 pips, mostly fair, WBOH not much of a problem.
