LUXEMBOURG From March 1st: KBS auf 1440 kHz. Michael, KBS radio
announces that they will transmit on 1440 kHz. from March 1 to 30 August
2008 at 1730 till 1800 UTC.
As they stated in their programmes and on their website, this is a test.
The old Radio Luxembourg frequency is well known to me from the time that
they (RTL) transmitted dutch and English programs in the late sixties and
early seventies. I used to listen to those programs regularly (at the same
time as KBS has planned) and know that the frequency has a good reception
here in the Netherlands and far beyond. Even in daytime.

Since a week ago TDP moved from Moldova to Ukraine to serve the Kurds
Mesopotamia radio on 7540 kHz. But now the separatist radio in Moldova
Pridnestrovye keeps still this channel - at least on weekdays, and we have
two 300Grigoriopol / 500Nikolayiev-UKR kW broadcasts co-channel - very
anoying.
Sunday Feb 24th, no jamming noted here on 7540 at 1500 UT. Carrier was on
air around 1458 UT, when I switched on the rx. 15.00:36 Kurdish music ID,
spoken ID at 15.00:55 UT. Nothing heard from Pridnestrovyie co-channel.

Pridnestrovya, in Romanian today S=9+20dB, well ahead of Nikolayiev
Kurdish underneath.
