and have Street View selected in Layers. Ian, did you see a list somewhere
about the countries, which have Street View and how it is expanding? I
have used this earlier for the US and it is amazing!

Thanks for info. I later got Verney Road camera icons to appear with GE.
Yes I was aware of the layers street View icon. Apparently you have to
zoom into correct level to get the camera icons to appear on the smaller
streets & then wait a while, a bit iffy sometimes & a bit awkward to use
with GE, but it works.
I first heard about the release of Street View in Australia on the first
day it was released, when announced/publicised on ABC local radio (702 kHz
Sydney).
I didn't know, until either read or announced this week, that France also
has this feature (barely). As far as I know only USA, France & Australia
has street view at this stage. It really surprised me that Australia was
selected as the 3rd country to be covered & that said has probably been
covered better than either of the other two countries in terms of area.
France's coverage is poor & the USA country areas haven't been covered
very well as yet, but USA s street view has expanded greatly over the last
12 months or so when it was first released.
Hopefully we see more regions & nations covered in the future, of the
nations that allow it! There has been some comments made in regards to
privacy issues in Australia.
I know of many folk to have used the feature so far here in Australia.
I've already been looking at some FM TX sites, that I couldn't previously
find. No doubt there will be a huge number of MW sites to be seen as well.
Sure beats travelling to sites for camera pics, although the image quality
is very ordinary (obviously as a comprise for download times & limits)
As Wolfgang comments it's a great feature.
