11784.9 VOI, het audible against Firedrake Wed Aug 13 at 1359; Firedrake
went off a few seconds past 1400 UT, leaving weak VOI in the clear,
mentioning Malaysia, so I suppose the language during this hour is really
Malay instead of Indonesian. If they are going to stay on 11784.9 instead
of 9526, now it's time to lobby for putting English at 1400 instead of
1300, equally hoping that propagation will improve during the same hour.
Also what do folk think of this site?
Sariwan - Anak 38 28 45 N 125 28 39 E
Appears to be a Russian antenna design, unlike the lattice towers seen on
obvious mediumwave broadcasting sites.
I don't see an obvious correspondence with a mediumwave frequency, so this
could be something else, in particular a longwave utility site. One could
be tempted to associate it with submarine communications, but the antenna
system looks like designed for a frequency somewhere above 50 kHz, not VLF
(i.e. below 30 kHz).
